The fourth way to enjoy the flavor of bananas is by making a homemade, lively, icy beauty: a unique frosty, dairy-free combo drink in a cute glass. I love cold drinks with ice as they are an awesome summer treat.
If you want to impress everyone on a hot day, Banana Lemonade is the one. I promise you, this isn’t just plain, regular lemonade. This combo is pretty unique. I wonder why it’s not yet a trend.
Whether you’re by the pool or in the shade, this fresh and easy lemonade drink is just what you need to cool down on a hot day and beat the summer heat. There’s nothing quite like sipping a refreshing ice-cold drink in the shade. A cold glass of ultra-refreshing lemonade, freshly squeezed, always makes my day.
I don’t know about you, but I must have something to drink when I’m at my computer, like coffee or this beauty. At work, I stick to drinking water so I can save the best drinks for my computer and book time. It’s strange, but it feels so different. It’s easier to work with a tasty drink by my side, and it has to be a long version in a tall glass.
To make it, use fresh bananas, lemons, and ice. You can make a limeade if you prefer limes. Replace the sugar with honey or maple syrup. Add pieces of fresh fruits in different colors for different moods and different theme parties. We all enjoy having chunks in our drinks.
You do need a blender to make a slushy drink instead of just having chunks of ice in it. Or maybe you’re up for making it manually. Smash the ice with a cloth, mash the banana with a fork, and use a cocktail mixer. It can be done, but it won’t be so thoroughly mixed.
I’ve had a lot of fun making banana drinks. For me, all four versions are a drink and dessert in one. It’s a great way to create summer memories. Experiment with different combinations and let me know how it went. Or maybe even set up your lemonade stand like kids in America. Who knows, you might even earn something, at least some adoration.
Let’s prolong this summer. Making drinks can become a summer ritual. Embrace summer and fall in love with this combo. It’s the perfect balance of sweet and sour citrus. It is time for fancy moments to evolve.
I’m wondering. Do you have your signature drink?

I used small grapes for garnish. One more way to play around with little balls, besides fun slurping…
BASIC
- If you prefer less icy drinks, simply reduce the amount of ice and add water instead.
- A small amount of water or juice is added to help dilute the drink.
- Adjust the amount of lemon, sugar, or ice to match your taste.
- For a tangier flavor, add some lemon zest. The lemon zest will add a strong, bold flavor! It will enhance the real flavor of the lemons. I wouldn’t add it for kids because it has a stronger taste.
- You can easily customize your frozen lemonade by adding different frozen fruits. Frozen fruit will make a more slushy texture and delicious lemonade.

Freezing tips
- Pour into your glasses and enjoy immediately, because it will melt.
- If you have to store it, it is best to put it in the freezer.
- It is best to freeze lemonade juice and chunks of bananas separately.

PRO TIPS
- Blend the ingredients without the ice first, as blending all the ingredients at once may prevent the liquids from fully combining.
- For a thick and creamy texture, use frozen ingredients and start blending at a low speed, gradually increasing the speed. Avoid over-blending to maintain a frosty and creamy consistency.
- You can also lightly cook the bananas until they become mushy to enhance the flavor.
- Create lemonade ice cubes by freezing basic lemonade juice and water in ice cube trays.
- Blending ice and liquid ensures that every sip is refreshingly chilled.
- Homemade syrup creates a fresh lemon flavor that cannot be bought in stores.

10 LEMONADE VARIATIONS
Frozen Base Lemonade: Prepare it in advance by blending bananas, honey, and lemon juice. Freeze the mixture overnight. One hour before serving, remove it from the freezer and add your preferred soda or juice. Stir until well mixed.
Use this as a base for various summer drinks and smoothies. Simply add your choice of frozen fruits and let it thaw before returning it to the blender. Blend until smooth.
1. Sorbet lemonade
Frozen, dairy-free lemonade made with fruit juice, fruit puree, and sweeteners.
2. Sherbet lemonade
Frozen lemonade with water, fruit juice, fruit puree, sweeteners, and dairy products such as milk, cream, or yogurt. Similar to sorbet, but with dairy. For a creamier texture, you can also add ice cream.
3. Pinky lemonade
Known for its beautiful pink color, pink lemonade can be made by adding fresh or frozen sliced strawberries. While fresh strawberries provide great taste, using frozen strawberries adds a thicker, creamier texture. If you want, you can freeze fresh strawberries overnight and then make the drink the next day. Pink lemonade is typically made with added pink food coloring and flavor, but fresh strawberry lemonade is naturally pinkish and flavored.
4. Limeade
Simply swap lemons for limes.
5. Sparkling lemonade
Instead of using plain water, use sparkling water with or without added flavor.
6. Healthy Cocktail Lemonade
Serve in a unique mason jar with a fancy paper straw, and garnish with fresh lemon slices on the sugared rim similar to a Martini or as you would garnish a Margarita. This lemonade is ideal for kids or as a healthy cocktail—a trendy non-alcoholic drink. You can make it sugar-free for an even healthier option.
7. Lemon milkshake
A whipped, frothy, creamy, and slushy drink made with milk and flavored with lemon and banana. It’s a blended, foamy, and frozen beverage comprising bananas, homemade lemon syrup, fresh lemon juice, milk, and ice cubes. 8. Limeade milkshake
This version is made with fresh limes and can be mixed with condensed milk or Greek yogurt for a creamier texture and bold taste.
9. Vanilla frozen lemonade
Simply swap out Greek yogurt for vanilla ice cream.
10. Create your Custom Flavors
It’s easy to experiment with other fruit or juice flavors and even make it vegan by using coconut milk.

Lemonade Garnish + Mix-Ins
CHIC DECORATION: Use slices of lemon, lemon wheels, lemon wedges, orange slices, fresh fruit, small grapes, lemon zest, fresh herbs like mint, parsley, basil, rosemary, thyme, or lavender, berries, pomegranate, and even sliced cucumber.
Serve the lemonade in frosted glasses to help keep the frozen drink from melting too quickly, especially in the summer. Place the glasses in the freezer for an hour before serving.
For a pretty finish, garnish your drink with attractive toppings. Pour the lemonade into tall or small chic glasses, such as jam jars filled with cubed ice, for a stunning look.
To keep straws in place, use lemon slices as cute straw holders. This will prevent the straw from swirling around and keep it firmly in place.
Remember to consider these lemonade mix-ins: fresh lime juice, bubbly mineral water, orange juice, homemade syrup or light jam, fresh or frozen fruits like peaches and strawberries, as well as spices and herbs.

STORAGE
Prepare the lemonade syrup ahead of time and store it in the freezer for up to 2 months. You can use a container or an ice cube tray for storage.
Frozen lemonade is best served immediately. While you can store it in the freezer, it will freeze and lose its creamy, delicious consistency.

RECIPE
3 bananas (sliced, or broken into pieces; mashed thoroughly)
1fresh lemon ( Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice)
1 cup of cold water
2 -3 tablespoons sugar, maple syrup or honey
1 cup of ice cubes(adjust to achieve desired thickness)
*1 Tbsp = 15 ml, 250 ml = 1 Cup, ½ tsp = 2.5ml

BASIC DIRECTIONS
Combine fresh lemon juice, bananas, sweetener, and water in a blender. Blend until fully combined. Once combined, add the ice cubes to the mixture. Blend until the ice is completely crushed and the lemonade reaches the desired smooth consistency. Start by blending at a low speed to break the ice, then increase the speed. If necessary, add some cold water to help with the blending.
It is best to use a high-powered blender for frozen drinks. If your blender struggles with crushing ice, add half of the ice at a time, crush ice cubes in a cloth, or let ice cubes thaw until they are soft enough. If you don’t have a blender, crush the ice and combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
I wonder. Which way is your favorite?
